Study Guide for Unit 1 Prime Time
Be sure to study and understand how to solve/find the following:
ü LCM – you can use the ladder method or write your multiples out, whichever you prefer. Examples are in your book, title of page should be LCM – Least Common Multiple
ü GCF - you can use the ladder method or factor rainbow, whichever you prefer. You should have several examples in your Math Modeling Notebook. Title of page should be GCF.
ü Factors of a number- Know how to find the factors of a number. You can use factor rainbows. Title of page should be Factor Rainbows in your Math Modeling Notebook.
ü Prime Factorization - Know how to find the prime factorization of a number. You can use factor trees or the ladder method, whichever you prefer. Title of page should be Prime Factorization in your Math Modeling Notebook.
ü Know how to use the Distributive Property. Title of page should be distributive property in your Math Modeling Notebook.
ü **Study your Divisibility Rules 2-10
ü **Study your vocabulary sheet for unit 1 Prime Time terms.
ü *** You should have SEVERAL examples of each type of problem in your Math Modeling Notebook.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR EXAM TO STUDY!!!
